In machine safety applications, achieving the highest performance levels, safety integrity levels, and category-based control circuits typically requires individual wiring and monitoring of detection and sensor devices.
However, DYNlink changes this conventional approach.
DYNlink is a sensor communication and cabling solution that simplifies achieving the highest safety levels using fewer cables and PLC inputs. Depending on the safety controller used, the DYNlink circuit allows for the connection of up to 30 DYNlink devices in series to a single input while still meeting Cat. 4/PL e/SIL3 safety standards. This significantly reduces the number of required inputs and cables compared to traditional two-channel detection devices, which usually necessitate individual monitoring through standard fail-safe controllers.

Key advantages of DYNlink include:
- Cost effective – reduces required safe I/O by up to 50% compared to traditional interfaces.
- Easy to install – fast and simple connection using M12 connectors
- Safety and Protection – Easy to reach highest safety level with up to 30 devices in series

DYNlink Sensors
The following sensors can be connected to a DYNlink circuit:
- Eden non-contact sensor (only units with DYN in their name)
- Smile and Inca emergency stops (only units with DYN in their name)
- Magne electromagnetic process lock (only units with DYN in their name)

Traditional Two-Channel Devices via Tina
Tina is an adapter that enables almost any traditional safety device to connect to a DYNlink circuit. The Tina devices adapt the DYNlink signals from the fail-safe controller for safety components with mechanical contacts, such as emergency stops, switches, and light beams/curtains with dual outputs. Several versions of Tina are available, depending on the type of safety component connected to the DYNlink solution.

DYNlink Fail-Safe Controllers
The following Fail-safe controllers are suitable for the monitoring of DYNlink circuits:
- Vital safety controllers
- Pluto safety PLCs
