ELV Isolated Surge Diverters 2P+PE are designed to protect against voltage surges in both AC and DC systems with a nominal voltage of 48V. They have a maximum continuous voltage rating of 50 VAC and 70 VDC. These surge diverters have a maximum discharge current of 40 kA (L-L) and 20 kA (L-PE) at 8/20ms, with a nominal discharge current of 20 kA (L-L) and 10 kA (L-PE) at the same time interval. The voltage protection level is less than 200 V (L-L) and less than 280 V (L-PE) at 3kA for an 8/20ms surge, while it is less than 155V (L-PE) at a rate of 1kv/ms. In addition to providing protection against both common and transverse mode surges, these surge diverters also have earth leakage current in the microamp range. They can be conveniently mounted on DIN rails.
