In a collaborative effort between IPD and Elsteel, the TECHNO system underwent a rigorous week-long Internal Arc Fault test program at DEKRA Laboratories in Europe and passed all tests with outstanding results.

As the exclusive distributor of the TECHNO system in Australia, IPD is committed to delivering solutions that go beyond compliance, ensuring the highest standards in safety, performance, and reliability.

In Australia, AS/NZS 61439.1 outlines two options for verifying internal arc fault containment in switchboards:

• AS/NZS 61439.1 Appendix ZD, covering arc faults on the load side of outgoing units
• IEC/TR 61641, a more comprehensive approach that covers arc faults on both line and load sides of outgoing units, incomer, and extends to main and dropper busbars

For this test program, the TECHNO system was tested to the more demanding IEC/TR 61641 standard, evaluating all 7 critical criteria to ensure both personal protection and assembly protection.

This achievement highlights the robustness of the TECHNO system and reinforces our shared commitment with Elsteel to raise the benchmark for internal arc fault safety in switchboard systems.
