IPD were thrilled to deliver a range of automation & control solutions to subcontractor Gentell Automation, for use in a Greenfield manufacturing facility in Western Sydney, for one of the largest contract packaging companies in Australia.

Gentell partnered with IPD, after facing challenges concerning the sourcing of Variable Speed Drives (VSD), due to supply chain constraints amongst potential suppliers. 

IPD, through its partnership with ABB, was able to deliver on schedule, an all-compatible variable speed drive solution that aligned seamlessly with the sub-contractor’s operational needs, to enable timely start of production. With a commitment to support customers beyond the product, IPD delivered technical support on VSD use. The timely deployment of ACS480 drives at this manufacturing facility saw an optimisation of their pump and conveyor applications. In addition, IPD worked as a one-stop solution to deliver Red Lion Protocol Converters, Hirschmann Switches and Puls Power Supplies for this project.

ABB’s ACS480 general purpose drives offer industries an innovative solution to enhancing operational efficiency, whilst also increasing energy savings. The ACS480 drives’ key features include a cabinet-optimised design, and IP20 protection, contributing to their efficiency and durability for various industrial environments.
