The EMX4i is an advanced smart soft starter designed for use with an external bypass. It has a frame size of S4 and an IP00 rating. The current ratings vary depending on the load, with 857A for light loads, 677A for medium loads, 559A for heavy loads, and 460A for severe loads. The supply voltage range is between 1000V and 1200V, while the control voltage operates at either 110V or 240V AC. The motor control features of the EMX4i include constant current and current ramp start, coast to stop and TVR stop, XLR-8 adaptive control starting/stopping, DC brake, soft brake, kickstart, soft trip, jog (forward and reverse) and inside delta (6 wire) control. In terms of motor protection, the soft starter offers protection against motor thermistor faults, current imbalance, under/over current conditions, phase sequence issues, phase loss events, and power loss situations. For simplified management and monitoring purposes, the EMX4i includes emergency run mode and run simulation features that provide real-time performance graphs. Additionally, it has SCR fail power through operation capability and daily on/off scheduling functionality. To enhance its functionality further, the EMX4i can support an I/O smart card or a communication expansion card with a remote keypad connector. Alternatively, it can also be used with a dedicated keypad connector card for advanced functionality. The soft starter is equipped with a USB port for easy parameter upload and download tasks. Data logging is also available to facilitate data analysis and tracking.
