The EMX4i is an advanced smart soft starter with a non-internal bypass. It has a frame size of S3 and an IP00 rating. The current ratings without external bypass are 735A for light loads, 590A for medium loads, 492A for heavy loads, and 404A for severe loads. With external bypass, the current ratings increase to 835A for light loads, 732A for medium loads, 593A for heavy loads, and 473A for severe loads. The supply voltage range is from 200V to 525V AC, and the control voltage is 24V AC/DC. The motor control features include constant current and current ramp start, coast to stop and TVR stop, XLR-8 adaptive control starting/stopping, DC brake, soft brake, kickstart, soft trip, jog (forward and reverse), and inside delta (6 wire) control. The soft starter offers motor protection against motor thermistor faults, current imbalance, under/over current conditions, phase sequence issues, phase loss events, and power loss situations. It also has emergency run mode and run simulation capabilities with real-time performance graphs. For simplified management, the EMX4i has SCR fail power through operation and daily on/off scheduling features. It can support an I/O smart card or a communication expansion card with a remote keypad connector. Alternatively, it can be used with a dedicated keypad connector card for advanced functionality. Additionally, it has a USB port and data logging capabilities for easy parameter upload and download.
