The EMX4i is an advanced smart soft starter designed for use with an external bypass. It has a frame size of S4 and an IP00 rating. The current ratings for this soft starter are 387A at light load, 315A at medium load, 267A at heavy load, and 229A at severe load. The supply voltage range for the EMX4i is 1000/1200V, while the control voltage is 110/240V AC. This soft starter offers a wide range of motor control features including constant current and current ramp start, coast to stop and TVR stop, XLR-8 adaptive control starting/stopping, DC brake, soft brake, kickstart, soft trip, jog (forward and reverse) and inside delta (6 wire) control. In terms of motor protection, the EMX4i provides protection for motor thermistor, current imbalance, under/over current, phase sequence, phase loss and power loss. It also comes with emergency run mode and run simulation features that include real-time performance graphs. For simplified management, the EMX4i includes SCR fail power through operation and daily on/off scheduling. Additionally, it can support an I/O smart card or a communication expansion card with remote keypad connector. There is also an option for a dedicated keypad connector card for advanced functionality. The EMX4i is equipped with a USB port and data logging capabilities for easy parameter upload and download.
