The EMX4i is an advanced smart soft starter designed for use with an external bypass. It has a frame size of S4 and an IP00 rating. The current ratings vary depending on the load, with light load at 1092A, medium load at 865A, heavy load at 716A, and severe load at 591A. The supply voltage range is between 1000V and 1200V, while the control voltage operates at either 110V or 240V AC. This soft starter offers a wide range of motor control features including constant current and current ramp start, coast to stop and TVR stop, XLR-8 adaptive control starting/stopping, DC brake, soft brake, kickstart, soft trip, jog (forward and reverse), and inside delta (6 wire) control. It also provides motor protection against various issues such as motor thermistor faults, current imbalance, under/over current conditions, phase sequence errors, phase loss, and power loss. In terms of management and monitoring capabilities, the EMX4i includes emergency run mode and run simulation features that come with real-time performance graphs. It also supports SCR fail power through operation for uninterrupted operation in case of SCR failure. Additionally, daily on/off scheduling is available for simplified management. For enhanced functionality and customization options, the EMX4i can support an I/O smart card or a communication expansion card with a remote keypad connector. Alternatively, it can be used with a dedicated keypad connector card. The soft starter also features a USB port for easy parameter upload and download along with data logging capabilities.
