Introduction

The Red Lion HMI course provides the student with the skills necessary to configure Red Lion’s feature rich operator interfaces for various applications using Crimson 3 software.

Objective

The one-day course aims to upskill a basic level on connectivity and creation of a responsive graphical Human Machine Interface, while delving deeper into the advanced and unique feature set of Red Lion’s product range.

Each student will be provided with a FREE CR1000 4inch HMI and a copy of Crimson 3 configuration software.

Upgrading to CR3000 enables advanced features including SMS/email notifications, remote access, datalogging, SQL and Cloud connectivity.

Intended Audience

This course is an introduction to Red Lion Crimson 3 software, that is intended for anyone who has an ongoing need to program and deploy Datastation’s, FlexEdge or HMI’s in any automation application.

Prerequisites

Participant’s Background:

Participants should be comfortable operating in a Microsoft Windows environment. Participants should have a basic understanding of HMI’s fundamentals.

To gain the most from this training course, it is essential each student bring their own laptop.

Course Condition:

The cost of this course is $695 (ex) per person (includes CR1000 HMI). You can upgrade to a CR3000 for an additional $395 ex (total $1090 ex)

There is a minimum participant requirement for the course to proceed. Full payment is required prior to course commencement. Cancellation fees of 15% will apply if less than 48 hour notice is given.

Outcome

  • Download / upload config through various mediums
  • Connect to remote IO and skilfully convert data between various protocols
  • Build a Tag database with applied scaling, formatting, and alarms
  • Create colourful interactive HMI pages
  • Create triggered and continuous data logs
  • Remote access the HMI
  • Basic C code programming
  • Configure alarm notifications via SMS and Email
