The EMX4i is an advanced smart soft starter designed for in-line installation. It features an internal bypass and has a frame size of S3 with an IP00 rating. The current ratings vary depending on the load, with light at 940A, medium at 736A, heavy at 603A, and severe at 487A. The supply voltage range is between 200-525V AC, while the control voltage is either 110V or 240V AC. The motor control capabilities of the EMX4i include constant current and current ramp start, coast to stop and TVR stop, XLR-8 adaptive control starting/stopping, DC brake, soft brake, kickstart, soft trip, jog (forward and reverse), and inside delta (6 wire) control. This soft starter provides motor protection against various issues such as motor thermistor faults, current imbalance, under/over current conditions, phase sequence errors, phase loss, and power loss. It also offers emergency run mode and run simulation with real-time performance graphs. For simplified management, the EMX4i features SCR fail power through operation and daily on/off scheduling. It can support additional functionality through the use of an I/O smart card or a communication expansion card with a remote keypad connector. Alternatively, it can be used with a dedicated keypad connector card. To facilitate parameter upload and download, the EMX4i includes a USB port and data logging capabilities.
