The EMX4i is an advanced smart soft starter designed for in-line installation. It features an internal bypass and has a frame size of S2 with an IP00 rating. The current ratings for the EMX4i are as follows: light - 250A, medium - 244A, heavy - 200A, and severe - 159A. The supply voltage range for the EMX4i is 200-525V AC, while the control voltage is 24V AC/DC. The motor control features of this soft starter include constant current and current ramp start, coast to stop and TVR stop, XLR-8 adaptive control starting/stopping, DC brake, soft brake, kickstart, soft trip, jog (forward and reverse), and inside delta (6 wire) control. In terms of motor protection, the EMX4i offers protection for motor thermistor, current imbalance, under/over current, phase sequence, phase loss, and power loss. It also has emergency run mode and run simulation capabilities with real-time performance graphs. For simplified management, the EMX4i includes SCR fail power through operation and daily on/off scheduling. Additionally, it can support an I/O smart card or a communication expansion card with a remote keypad connector. Alternatively, it can be used with a dedicated keypad connector card for advanced functionality. To facilitate parameter upload and download, the EMX4i is equipped with a USB port and data logging capabilities.
