Emerson have recently released their series of PACSystems™ RSTi-EP CPE 200 programmable automation controllers (PAC). The family of compact PACs, aim to simplify connectivity to traditional sensors and actuators as well as external analytics software platforms. This innovative design will create optimal ease for equipment manufacturers (OEMs), to successfully meet customer requirements, by minimising the need for specialised software engineering talent.
Key Features & Benefits
By employing high-performance runtime and toolchain, CPE 200 controllers deliver a large Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) capability in a small, cost-effective, IIoT-ready form-factor. This significantly improves machine performance, productivity and flexibility while reducing size, complexity and cost. The controllers embody the ability to operate in extreme weather temperatures and conditions, versatile for several environments.
Developed to be secure in response to increased cyber risk, Emerson’s RSTi-EP CPE 200 has integrated technologies including Trusted Platform Modules, and secure boot to prevent malicious applications and “unauthorised” operating systems. It has been awarded Achilles Level 2 Certification.
The compact controller series features built-in open communications, allowing simple connectivity to a wide range of 3rd party devices. It additionally offers real time I/O networking capabilities, up to 3x 1-Gbps Ethernet ports and support of all popular communication protocols including PROFINET©, OPC UA, Modbus/TCP, and DNP3.
Emerson’s RSTi-EP CPE 200 PAC series enables you to leverage the power and flexibility of PACSystems in smaller applications. This solution allows you to find new efficiencies with streamlined application development and integration, using the same runtime and templates as our other PAC solutions.
