The EMX4i is an advanced smart soft starter designed for in-line installation. It features an internal bypass and has a frame size of S2 with an IP00 rating. The current ratings vary depending on the load, with light at 397A, medium at 322A, heavy at 262A, and severe at 211A. The supply voltage range for the EMX4i is between 200-525V AC, while the control voltage is either 110V or 240V AC. This smart soft starter offers a wide range of motor control features including constant current and current ramp start, coast to stop and TVR stop, XLR-8 adaptive control starting/stopping, DC brake, soft brake, kickstart, soft trip, jog (forward and reverse), and inside delta (6 wire) control. In terms of motor protection, the EMX4i provides safeguards against motor thermistor issues, current imbalance, under/over current conditions, phase sequence problems, phase loss events, and power loss situations. For simplified management and monitoring capabilities, this soft starter includes emergency run mode and run simulation features with real-time performance graphs. Additionally, it offers SCR fail power through operation and daily on/off scheduling options. To enhance functionality further, the EMX4i can support various expansion cards such as an I/O smart card or a communication expansion card with a remote keypad connector. Alternatively, users can opt for a dedicated keypad connector card for advanced functionality. The soft starter also includes a USB port for easy parameter upload and download along with data logging capabilities.
