 The former site of Queensland's Supreme Courthouse, 300 George Street, is undergoing a significant transformation as it prepares to accommodate the Brisbane Quarter development, featuring three ultramodern glass towers. IPD was honoured to be chosen to supply five ABB low-voltage power factor correction (PFC) units for this project. The Brisbane Quarter is in line to become one of Brisbane's largest integrated CBD developments, comprising a residential tower, a 5-star hotel, and an office building. IPD is privileged to contribute to such a significant project in reshaping the Brisbane CBD landscape.
ABB's low voltage power factor correction units offer an efficient and reliable solution to improve power factor and optimise energy consumption in electrical systems. Designed for low-voltage applications, these units help reduce reactive power, improve voltage stability, and enhance overall system efficiency. These units are easy to install and maintain, providing a cost-effective solution for commercial and industrial sectors and enabling improved power quality and increased operational efficiency.
 Through IPD’s collaboration, we aimed to provide a reliable and sustainable power solution for this development. The impact is already evident at the Brisbane Quarter, with three ABB lowvoltage power factor correction units successfully installed. These units will ensure a consistent power supply while reducing inefficiencies, contributing to the smooth operation of the development. As we progress towards the final stages of the project, two more units are currently undergoing manufacturing and will be installed in the coming months.
