The National Construction Code (NCC) 2022 came into effect, altering the energy data monitoring requirements criteria on the first of May 2023. The new J9D3 section, formerly known as section J8.3 in the 2019 revision, requires gathering individual time data for on-site renewable energy equipment and electric vehicle charging battery systems. Additionally, the NCC 2022 also introduced section J9D4, which outlines provisions for electric vehicle charging equipment. These new mandatory requirements promote the understanding of Australia’s energy consumption patterns and informed decision-making.
Our electric vehicle charging distribution board for residential and commercial buildings is designed to accommodate the growing demand for electric vehicle charging facilities. It is a specialised electrical panel that delivers efficient power distribution and safety to multiple electric vehicle charging stations. Its ability to simultaneously handle a high level of power ensures optimal load management and safety. Each board is packed with key safety measures like remote shutdown to isolate the electric vehicle charging by pressing emergency stop button, signal from Fire Indication Panel (FIP), or load shedding signals. Earth fault protection, overload protection, and overcurrent (short-circuit) protection devices are also available.
Our products incorporate smart metering and space for monitoring systems for outgoing circuits. When used together, facility managers can track electricity consumption, monitor charging station usage, and optimise charging schedules. All consolidated data onto a single user interface enhances data management and streamlines energy monitoring processes.
Designed for your space optimisation whilst considering the potential need for future additions, it can be conveniently installed to provide easy access for service maintenance. Both wall-mounting and floor-standing options are available to suit your business needs.
All features fully comply with the National Construction Code 2022, safety standards, and regulations for electric vehicle charging stations. Our electrical experts will assist you along the way to embrace the key updates and provide solutions to your specific needs. Contact the IPD team on 1300 556 601 for more information.
*Note: DB can be provided fully loaded with RCBO’s and pre-wired with NMI rated KWh meters for each out-going circuit if required.
